Why Adults Are Choosing Invisalign

Invisalign is becoming the preferred choice for adults who want to transform their smiles – and for a good reason. There are many benefits to choosing Invisalign as an adult. Baum Braces is proud to be recognized as a Diamond Provider of Invisalign. Although all Invisalign providers are trained and certified, very few receive the status of Diamond Provider. Diamond status means our orthodontics team is in the top 1% of all Invisalign providers in the country. This puts our skill and experience at a level you can feel confident about.

Discretion

Invisalign is virtually invisible, which means you can straighten your teeth without anyone knowing. Invisalign allows you to maintain a professional appearance and go about your day as your normally would.

Comfort

The Invisalign aligners have been found to be more comfortable than traditional braces. Invisalign aligners are made of flexible plastic so they are less likely to irritate your gums or lips like metal braces. Plus, your aligners will be customized to the movement and shape of your mouth.

Convenience

They are a convenient choice for busy adults. Because the aligners are removable, you can easily eat whatever you want and brush and floss your teeth as normal. You’ll also have fewer office visits with Invisalign – meaning you can straighten your teeth without disrupting your busy schedule.

Getting Started With Invisalign

If you’re an adult considering Invisalign, the first step is to contact our office to schedule a consultation. Dr. Baum will examine your teeth and bite during your consultation to determine your treatment goals. He will then create a customized treatment plan just for you.

Dr. Baum will take digital scans of your teeth and use them to create your Invisalign aligners. Once your aligners are ready, you’ll return to our office to pick them up and get started with treatment. Invisalign requires fewer appointments than traditional braces because you will be given the full series of aligners at once and will progress through each set as recommended by Dr. Baum. You will return to our office regularly to monitor your progress and make any necessary changes to your treatment plan. Your teeth will gradually shift into their new, straighter positions as you wear your aligners.

As one of Connecticut’s Premier Invisalign Providers, Dr. Baum can treat more complex cases with much more significant and consistent results. If you’re ready to begin Invisalign aligners, contact Baum Braces today to get started with Invisalign.

How Does The Invisalign Process Work?

The Invisalign process is straightforward. During your consultation with Dr. Baum, your treatment plan will be decided based on the examinations and images taken of your mouth. The treatment plan will outline factors such as how long to wear them, how to progress through each set, and the timeframe you will have to wear the aligners. While each component will vary from person to person, here are some general guidelines.

Timeframe

In general, the treatment will last anywhere from 9-15 months. This is much shorter than the average time of 2-3 years for metal braces. Retainers will need to be worn following Invisalign treatment to maintain your new smile.

Number Of Aligners

There is no universal answer to how many aligners you will need, as the number of aligners you receive throughout treatment is determined by the severity of your misalignment. However, the majority of patients will receive 18 to 36 aligners during treatment. Typically, the aligners are worn for 20 to 22 hours per day, and they should be changed every week.

As your treatment proceeds, you will be required to move to a new set of aligners that are slightly different from the ones you were previously using. This progressive procedure will gradually shift your teeth into their ideal positions. You will have a stunningly straight smile upon completion of treatment!

Dr. Baum will create a customized treatment plan just for you and provide you with the guidance and support you need throughout your treatment. Getting started with Invisalign is simple, so don’t wait any longer to achieve the smile you’ve always wanted.
